The American University of Baghdad, Iraq is opening its doors in 2019. They have a new Graphic Design program and would like a campaign that appeals to Iraqi high school students to encourage them to apply to the program. This campaign would need to bring a fresh take on an unorthodox course of study in the region.
Solution: A bold, approachable, fresh campaign that would spark interest and curiosity culminating in a two day graphic design interactive conference. The conference would be a safe space where the students can experiment, explore and expand their knowledge of what graphic design is and what it can be.
The use of the “X” strongly creates a visual language that the demographic is familiar with locally as well as internationally.
